FAQs

STEMIE stands for STEM plus Invention and Entrepreneurship. Students apply foundational knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and maths to invent solutions to real-world problems. With their innovative ideas, inventors are guided to turn those ideas into market-ready solutions.

Invention Education is a powerful student-centered approach to learning. It guides students to identify and solve problems that they care about.

The invention process is similar to the phases of design thinking. Our 3-day course will cover the steps needed to ideate, design, and build solutions to problems, providing you with more than just design thinking skills.

At the end of the course, you will be a certified invention educator, allowed to run proprietary STEMIE programs in your own organization / school. More than that, this course will change the way you think and take action. Past participants have shared that they found the invention framework useful in their daily lives, applying what they learned to solve problems at work and even prepare pitches to stakeholders.

We welcome all adults with an interest in invention education or would like to nurture the next generation of inventors and entrepreneurs in Singapore. We have had educators, retirees, pilots, engineers, and professionals from other industries attend the program. This program isn’t only for educators!
